Our Junior Open Water course is world-recognized. It gives children aged 10-14 the chance to receive a PADI certificate. Therefore, our specialized instructors aim to make the course fun and active. They also ensure it is safe and educational. Of course, safety is our priority. That’s why our instructors undergo training for young learners. To conclude, the Junior Open Water teachers the same skills as the Adult Open Water. However we use a child friendly manner when teaching.

The Junior Open Water Diver PADI certificate allows you to dive in the company of a Divemaster, PADI Instructor with a parent or guardian up to 12 m (child’s age: 10-11 years)
Diving to a depth of 18 meters with a PADI certified diver (child age: 12-14 years).
It is important that a child from 15 years of age can upgrade their certification to PADI Adult Open Water Diver without having to complete any further courses. If more than 1 year has elapsed between the certification date and the age of 15, it is recommended that the diver complete the Scuba Review program.
Our young learners complete 5 sessions in shallow water (max depth 3m) All the theory sessions on our boat. They also receive the manual and the instructor teaches this step by step. Our juniors also complete quizzes to make sure they understand how to dive safely. Finally they will complete 4 Open Water dives (12m). Moreover, juniors work at their own pace and learn in a fun and proactive way.
Our students will also have to show swimming skills by swimming 200m in their own time. Firstly, when you arrive to take the course, parents fill out a medical form.
Furthermore, if your child has any medical issues, please bring a letter from their doctor. Additionally, we provide all food and drink on the boat. So you have to bring a swimsuit, towel and 2 passport photos.
For added security, we may ask you to tell us the room number of your hotel. This acts as a secret code between you and the driver. We may also ask for a phone number in case we need further communication with you.
The Transportation time depends on the distance of your hotel and the number of guests. Nevertheless, this will be decided as soon as your reservation is confirmed. In the morning, pick-up is between 06:45 and 08:45. In the afternoon, drop-off is between 15:00 and 17:00.
You do not need to pay online! The payment you can make upon arrival at our diving center. We accept credit cards (3.5% tax excluded) or cash (the preferred currency is Euro).
